Web or Screencasting. Anyone can put up a website. It is important to evaluate information "who, what, when, where, how and why".
The goal of the following video is to demonstrate (using screencasting) how to evaluate websites in the area of journalistic content.
These days, one can find numerous fabricated and less-than-accurate websites often camouflaged as providing legitimate information. In this, the digital age, it is easy and economical for anyone to put up a website that may look legitimate, but in reality, provides less-than-accurate information. Analyzing credible news and other sources is a critical skill. My goal in this video was to facilitate evaluation of articles found on websites based on the ethical principles of good foundational journalistic practices.
1. Truth and Accuracy
2. Independence
3. Fairness and Impartiality
4. Humanity
5. Accountability
